SCC Super ZLT
The Super ZLT by SCC is a very popular product for drivers in the mountains of California as well as much of the rest of the country. They are popular for several reasons.
  1. S-class chain suitable for most vehicles
  2. Ease of installation
  3. Z pattern gives better traction than ladder style of cables
  4. Coils are thicker and grippier than those found on other tire cables
To install these cables remove one cable from the back and lay it out next to the tire. Make certain the ends with the hook on one side and chain link on the other side are nearest the tire. Next, lay the feed the cable behind the tire. Bring the hook to the top center of the tire. Next bring the chain link from the other end to the top center of the tire and connect them. Then push the connection to the back of the tire. Now connect the top and bottoms connections on the front side of the tire. Last, connect the tensioner to the loose cables.
